Founded on Florida’s beautiful Gulf Coast by two best friends who’ve shared nearly two decades of laughter, dreams, and salt-air adventures. We’re building a community that celebrates connection, creativity, and coastal living.

Under the Coastal Besties umbrella, you’ll find a growing collection of inspired sub-brands — from our subscription blind book boxes, to budgeting tools, to planners, notebooks, sticky notes, notepads, magnets, and so much more! — all designed to bring joy, organization, and a splash of seaside sunshine to everyday life.

And because connection is at the heart of everything we do, our Besties Podcast dives into real, unfiltered conversations about friendship, mental health, entrepreneurship, and building a life you love — with plenty of laughter.

Meet the Team

Sarah Sandstrom

Owner, CEO, CMO

Sarah is a lifelong creative with a strong foundation in business, marketing, and sales, backed by her college degree and years of entrepreneurial experience. Having owned multiple businesses in the past, she’s always been driven by a desire to create meaningful products that truly support people—especially in the areas she has personally struggled with. Coastal Besties Collective was born from that vision: a place where beautifully designed, functional items can help anyone feel more organized, inspired, encouraged, or simply seen in whatever season of life they’re in.

Sarah is Owner, CEO, and CMO at Coastal Besties Collective. Wanting to build something special alongside someone who meant just as much, Sarah teamed up with her best friend, Cait, of 19 years to bring this dream to life. Together, they created not only a multi-brand company but also a space for honest connection through their podcast, where they openly discuss life, mental health, parenting, friendships, and everything in between.

Outside of the business, Sarah thrives in creativity and exploration. She loves crafting, discovering new places and restaurants, unwinding with movie nights, and spending quality time with the people she loves. Living in SWFL—and especially being near the beach—brings her the peace and inspiration that continues to fuel the heart behind Coastal Besties Collective.

Caitlin Rennell

Co-Owner, COO, CFO

Caitlin is someone who wears her heart on her sleeve—loving deeply, caring endlessly, and approaching life with a genuine curiosity to learn and grow. After spending ten years in corporate America, she felt a pull toward something more meaningful, something that aligned with her heart rather than just her schedule. That calling led her to create Coastal Besties Collective alongside her best friend.

With a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a lifelong love for creativity, Caitlin brings both heart and intention into everything she helps build. Originally from the East Coast, she has always felt at home by the ocean. Now living in beautiful Southwest Florida, the beach continues to be her happy place and a constant source of inspiration for the brand.

Caitlin has lived with anxiety most of her life and has always found reading to be the calm within the storm. That comfort grew into a lifelong love of books and a rapidly expanding home library. She's always encouraging those around her to pick up a good story instead of the remote. Her anxiety not only fueled her passion for reading but also sparked her love for organization. After trying countless planners and notebooks, she realized the market often fell short of what people with anxiety truly need.

Outside of the business, Caitlin loves exploring new places, reading great books, and trying new foods whenever she gets the chance. Though she’s a homebody who adores cozy nights in, she also enjoys going out and experiencing all life has to offer.

Her warmth, creativity, and passion for meaningful connection are woven into the foundation of Coastal Besties Collective, making her an essential part of the heart behind the brand.
